We had a wonderful turn-out on Saturday 4th February for our quarterly eWaste and scrap metal collection. SWNW wishes to thank everyone in the community who supported this drive – there were many folks dropping off their eWaste and scrap metal. We also would like to thank the members who volunteered to manage this process (especially John Kleyn for the use of his truck and trailers).

Items dropped off will either be donated to NPOs, exchanged for donations to raise funds for our Communication Centre, or responsibly recycled. These collections minimise waste being left out on bin day, which attracts vagrants. The added bonus was 24 new members who signed up to be SWNW members.

SWNW has a 24/7 Communication Centre with a radio network to over 500 residents, and we are also a part of a network of licence plate recognition (LPR) cameras spread throughout the greater Peninsula area.
